Ball winder + swift!

So my wonderfully crafty bf saw this post on craftster and was inspired to make me a ball winder AND a swift since he was tired of providing his knees to wrap hanks around while i wound them into wonky yarn balls.

The swift is perfect and looks just as good as any store bought one, and it only cost about $10 ;).

The winder is still erm...having some kinks fixed. It works really well in the beginning but then it sort of bogs down a from the weight of the ball. I think he should just put a bigger motor in it but he's going to mess around with the gears and fix the "gear ratios." Yep, he's an engineer. :-p

Either way it's great that he made them for me. Thanks babe. :)
